Coolglass Wind Farm SID

Coolglass Wind Farm Limited is applying for planning permission for a development consisting of up to 13 wind turbines and associated infrastructure. The proposed wind farm is located approximately 11km southeast of Portlaoise, 14km northwest of Carlow and 11km east of Abbeyleix.

Following consultations pursuant to Section 182E of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended), An Bord Pleanála determined that the proposed development is Strategic Infrastructure Development within the meaning of Section 182A of the Act which necessitates a planning application being made directly to An Bord Pleanála.

It is a requirement of the Board that the applicant creates a specific website to include all of the application documentation.
